With progress underway at its North Kent manufacturing facility, Berkeley Modular has now begun the process of building its management team.
The first appointment is Raminder Singh, who has joined the company as Operations Manager.
Raminder will be responsible for developing Berkeley Modular's procedures and standards, as well as helping to establish the team in the technologically advanced manufacturing facility.
He brings over 15 years' experience in similar roles within the automotive sector, having previously held the post of global programmes manufacturing lead, so is well placed to take the lead in Berkeley Modular's digital construction drive.
With a background in the automotive, Raminder was attracted by the opportunity to help steer the company from the very beginning and was impressed by Berkeley Modular's forward-thinking, technologically advanced approach to construction.
Raminder will work alongside Berkley Modular's design, supply chain, quality, health & safety, manufacturing and operations divisions to deliver the company's high quality housing products.
A keen advocate of increasing diversity and a champion of young people in construction, Raminder is excited to nurture the first generation of Berkeley Modular employees and was impressed by the bespoke apprenticeship course that the company is developing with North Kent College.
Commenting on his new role, Raminder said: "I had been searching for the right role in construction for some time: it's an exciting time for the industry, with a move towards digitisation and increasing diversity in the workforce, so when I heard about this role I was immediately interested.
"As I learned more about the company through my conversations with recruitment agency Barker Ross, it became clear that this is something special that I very much wanted to be part of, and I'm excited to develop my role further as the company and management team grows."
