Job Purpose: To provide accurate reporting and management information.


Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Production of monthly consolidated Board packs, with the assistance of junior finance team members
  • Preparing monthly consolidated management accounts & overhead cost centre management accounts, including profit and loss reports and balance sheet
  • Assisting in Group Finance level & board level reporting & queries
  • Working effectively with operating company management accountants to collate management information within required weekly/monthly timeframes
  • Key team contributor for the preparation of the annual divisional budget
  • Preparing financial and regulatory information for internal and external audit purposes
  • Preparing valuation models of construction sites
  • Assist in preparation of consolidated joint venture statutory accounts
  • Prepare ad hoc & monthly cashflow and profit reporting of joint venture board requests
  • Undertaking other projects and analysis on an ad hoc basis
  • Reviewing tax (VAT & CIS) reconciliations for appropriate accounts
  • Reviewing and posting journals
  • Reviewing bank reconciliations
  • Management of Junior members of the Management Accounts team
  • To prepare monthly VAT returns and associated workings and maintain and review inter company balances and investigate any variations

Technical Competencies:

  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Understanding of finance processes
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Familiar with accounting software preferable, but not essential
  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified (Management Accountant role)
