Job Purpose: This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to gain a detailed understanding of housebuilding from one of the sectors market leading 'Place Making' companies. The Technical department focuses on managing the design process of the development once planning consent is granted. As a technical graduate you will be liaising closely with the land, commercial and construction departments to ensure a seamless transition from design through procurement and construction. You will be managing the entire design process and ensuring the requirements stipulated at planning are adhered to.


Responsibilities and Accountabilities: 

 We use professional architects and leading consultants and engineers to provide bespoke designs for every new project, with the technical team project managing the entire design process and ensuring that the requirements stipulated at planning are adhered to. The technical department liaises closely with the land, commercial and construction departments to ensure a seamless transition from design through procurement and construction.

They will also manage the external processes associated with:

  • Discharge of planning conditions
  • Obtaining statutory consents
  • Party wall awards
  • Site surveys and investigations
  • Supporting the construction, sales and customer services teams through the provision of technical information.

  • Will have a keen interest in the property market and a good level of understanding of the development cycle from site acquisition through to build, including an understanding of the current planning system and how the plan-led system is used in decision making
  • Will demonstrate an ability to operate and thrive in a corporate, commercial environment, be well organised and methodical with a keen eye for detail
  • Be highly numerate with a knowledge of residual valuation for land appraisals and sales valuations
  • Will be persuasive with strong negotiation skills
  • The role will best suit someone who is confident and can thrive in an exciting, dynamic and fast-paced environment with strong social skills who enjoys dealing with people

 Please note our standard working hours are 8am until 5.30pm Monday to Friday.
