Job Purpose: Working with the QHSE Manager, the HSE Co-ordinator is responsible for assisting in the development, implementation, maintenance and enhancement of the health, safety and environment management system and policies The HSE Co-ordinator is also responsible for reviewing the effectiveness of the management system, conducting assessments of measures and offering practical solutions to improve performance To assist with coaching the workforce to be proactive towards their own health and safety, ensuring good behaviours and safe working methods are being understood promoted and adhered to.


Responsibilities and Accountabilities: 

  • Responsible for helping provide the day to day delivery of the HSE strategy across the company's manufacturing facility & project sites
  • Assist in the Investigation, reporting and identifying recommendations on accidents and incidents
  • Carry out inductions
  • Carry out internal training
  • To provide visible, active support and advice to all members of staff 
  • Actively participate with manufacturing and site teams in continuous improvement of the HS&E systems
  • Stand in for the HSEQ Manager during absences
  • Collate and prepare reports on accident & environmental targets
  • Ensure all HSE related documentation is up to date and applicable
  • Manage the legal H&S training of workforce
  • To provide training and toolbox talks as required
  • Management of the COSHH register 

Technical Specification:

  • NEBOSH Diploma
  • Demonstrable experience in improving health and safety behaviours, ideally with 3 years or more experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Auditing skills
  • Ideally have an environment qualification, IEMA
  • Ideally have some engineering/ construction knowledge
