Description: The technical department takes over the management of the design of a scheme once planning consent has been granted. Our technical team do not work as architects as these are typically appointed externally - instead they appoint the consultant design team and manage the detailed design process. Coordination and work flow of all technical information on a live project throughout the development cycle from design, planning, delivery and through to completion.


Overview of the Role:

Primary Function

  • A diligent and methodical administrator to adhere to all document control and administrative processes for the Technical Department; ensuring all staff are adequately trained to control all documentation and drawings following the company processes and procedures to deliver Organisational Key Performance Objectives aligned to Organisational Business commitments, culture and core values.
  • Maintaining and administrating the in−house web based document collaboration system, uploading, downloading drawings, scanning and uploading received hard copy documents, maintaining up to date drawing files and registers, collating and issuing of drawings as well as tender packages, and managing internal and external users to the in−house web based document collaboration system and dealing with queries and complaints.

  • Have responsibility for all information and ensure compliance with all processes as described in the relevant department manuals and the SharePoint internal/external document management protocols
  • To highlight and resolve non-conformance related matters which have potential cost and programme implications
  • Manage the on-site information flow find the technical team to release information accordance with the delivery programme
  • Ensure compliance with Technical Department processes, procedures and reporting
  • Is accurate, pays attention to detail and ensures tasks are completed on time
  • Take every possible opportunity to improve your knowledge and development - expand the breadth of your knowledge-base
  • Work safely and competently in a site based environment always adhering to Group Health and Safety standards 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • To undertake an agreed programme of learning that leads to gaining a recognised qualification as part of an apprenticeship framework/standard
  • To actively participate in your development plan under the supervision of your line manager, and the training provider assessor
  • To work under supervision to learn your role. Specifics for each apprenticeship role can be found at the end of the job description

  • Ensure personal protective equipment (PPE) is used at the appropriate time for each task being undertaken.
