Sustainability
To meet today's demands for greater energy efficiency, we have applied an energy strategy at Providence Place, the final phase at The Hamptons.
The Code for Sustainable Homes is an environmental rating system. All of the homes in Providence Place achieve Code Level 3 and are 25% more energy efficient than the applicable Building Regulations requirement. For households, this means lower running costs, as well as the satisfaction of living a 'more sustainable' life.
All homes include:
- Solar thermal and/or photovoltaic panels
- 75% of internal lights with dedicated low energy fittings
- A+ to B rated kitchen appliances
- External lights with PIR sensors and daylight cut-off sensors
- Dual flush WC's
- Water butts to houses
The homes at Providence Place are also designed to adapt to changing needs of the people in the household. Each design feature adds to the comfort and convenience of the home. Examples are wider car parking spaces, generously sized and thoughtfully planned bathroom layouts and level front door thresholds.
