Silkworks Regeneration

Lewisham's Metamorphosis

The thriving town of Lewisham is going through a metamorphosis. A £250 million regeneration scheme is breathing new life into this historic part of London. Dubbed the 'Lewisham Gateway', this massive regeneration is planning to transform the area by creating a vibrant new town centre which will be the focus of social life for the surrounding communities.

The scheme will create a new landscaped public park where two rivers meet and nearby a town square is the perfect platform for events and performances. As well as improving the accessibility of the town centre for pedestrians and cyclists, the streamlined transport interchanges will increase bus stop capacity whilst significantly reducing journey times through the Gateway for all.

A retail hub will bustle with shops, cafes, restaurants and a multi-screen cinema while new walkways will make this an open and pleasant space for the area's residents, thereby promising to restore the heart of Lewisham.

Let's not forget the residential district. As a part of these amazing changes to the Lewisham Gateway, many new fantastic residential buildings are being erected. The Silkworks development is a major part of this with its modern architecture, inner city eco-friendly living, and luxury apartments & studio flats.
