(In order to gain access to this exclusive leisure facility, a gym induction with an RCH trainer is necessary, with a one-off £25 fee payable to RCH).
Streetcar at St Edward
At St Edward, one of our key priorities is to reduce the amount of carbon associated with our developments. Berkeley Group already leads the industry in encouraging ecologically sustainable build techniques and bringing new technologies and approaches to our construction projects to minimise their impact on the surrounding areas, now and in the future.
When looking at the carbon footprints, we have been able to reduce the emissions of our buildings by around a third compared to the existing building stock. We subsequently looked at other areas where we could make further reductions, and established that a large proportion of carbon emissions across the lifetime of the communities we create, come from cars. Car share clubs help to lower such emissions as they reduce the need for private vehicles. According to Streetcar car share club, each one of their cars takes an average of 26 privately owned cars off the roads.
Streetcar at Stanmore Place
Whether you have a car or not, it is useful to know that there is one around the corner for when you need it. Which is why St Edward and Streetcar are working together to provide residents with simple, 24/7 access to cars when they need them. Soon there will be a Streetcar parked at Stanmore Place, which can be booked by the hour, day, week or month.
You can drive, for example a BMW 1 Series, from just £6.95 per hour, including 30 miles of free petrol per day, unlimited free petrol on longer trips, and fully comprehensive insurance. Once you have joined online at Streetcar (a joining fee applies), you can book online, unlock the car with a smartcard or mobile phone, and drive away. When you're done, just bring it back.
