Stanmore Place wins Best Landscape - Urban Development at New Homes and Garden Awards 2011

St Edward has won the Best Landscaped - Urban Development accolade for Stanmore Place at the New Homes and Garden Awards 2011. Now in its eighth year, the awards aim to recognise and reward excellence in new home garden and landscape design.

In winning the Best Landscaped - Urban Development award, Stanmore Place was recognised as the most outstanding example of innovative quality design around a development, which demonstrates the most effective, creative and original use of outdoor space in a contemporary urban setting. The awards were presented at a sparkling champagne ceremony at on 6th December.

What House? Awards 2011 - Best Landscape Design - Bronze Award

Now in their 30th year, the What House? Awards are the most coveted and longest established new homes awards, celebrating the achievements of housebuilders and developers in the UK, both large and small, across 21 categories.

Stanmore Place was subsequently awarded the Bronze Award for Best Landscape Design. The award recognised Stanmore Place as one of the most outstanding examples of innovative quality design around a development, demonstrating the most effective, creative and original use of outdoor space in a contemporary urban setting.

CABE Building for Life Awards 2010

Having been awarded a Gold Standard, Stanmore Place has gone on to win a full Building for Life Award.  Only 10 UK developments were awarded this highly sought-after accolade in 2010, establishing Stanmore Place as a truly exceptional place to live.  The assessors commended the "strong vision informing the development", adding that the level of quality being delivered is an "impressive achievement".

CABE Building for Life Standards 2010

The Building for Life scheme recognises commitment to high standards of building design and sustainable development nationwide.  Standards are awarded by the Commission for Architecture and the Built Environment (CABE) in partnership with the Home Building Federation (HBF).  Stanmore Place was awarded a Gold Standard, the highest Standard achievable, having been judged on the following criteria:

Harrow Architectural and Environment Awards 2010

Stanmore Place has been awarded a Commendation for the frontage of the development by the judging panel of the Harrow Architectural and Environment Awards. The biennial award scheme seeks to recognise the natural and built environment and congratulates exceptional projects that contribute to the community. The awards are an initiative of the Harrow Heritage Trust and the Harrow Observer.  Martin Verden, Chair of the Harrow Heritage Trust commented - "We were particularly pleased that the judging panel gave a Commendation to Stanmore Place as it was one of the few entries that emphasised the importance of the natural environment."
