Berkeley Group announces it has won a 2008 BURA Award for Best Practice in Regeneration for the first phase of its 76-acre mixed use redevelopment at Royal Arsenal, south east London. The award will be presented at a ceremony on 25th November in Leeds.
For the second year running, The Berkeley Group has been named UK's top sustainable developer in a report unveiled today (29 October 2008). Introduced last year, the NextGeneration league table ranks the UK's 20 largest housebuilders according to their sustainability operations.
Leading UK urban regenerator, The Berkeley Group, has received the equivalent of a business ‘knighthood’ and has joined Britain’s business elite after being granted a Queen’s Award for Enterprise.
The Berkeley Group triumphed twice on Tuesday night’s 2008 Building Awards, the biggest construction industry event of the year, picking up awards for sustainability and its Central London Tabard Square development.
Tabard Square in London’s Southwark has been rated as one of the best new buildings in the UK, according to national charity The Civic Trust.
