City Professionals Find Dream Home in Tunbridge Wells

Tania, 30 and Pantelis, 31 had always enjoyed living in the capital. Prior to moving to Berkeley's development Hollyfields in Tunbridge Wells, the couple, both of whom work in FinTech, rented a one-bedroom house in Limehouse, just a 12-minute DLR journey from their office in Bank.

During the first lockdown, Tania and Pantelis realised that their rental agreement was coming to an end and decided to start looking for a place to buy. Both Tania and Pantelis were impressed by the fact that the highly regarded St Peter's CofE Primary School would soon relocate to the site, an important consideration for the couple as they are planning to have children in the future, as well as easy access to outdoor space.

"The biggest difference I've noticed since moving here has been the air - it's so clean, and I just can't emphasise how life-changing this has been for me given I'm asthmatic and used to get ill every other week while living in London", shared Tania.

Tania and Pantelis get to enjoy fresh air even without leaving the house, thanks to their spacious garden. "The rental property we lived in before didn't have any outdoor space, so being able to spend time in the garden feels great", said Pantelis.

The couple have benefitted from the Stamp Duty holiday, which meant they were able to keep some money on the side for their upcoming wedding.

"We look forward to building our life in Tunbridge Wells - we've had a few months to explore the area, and so far, it's been great", said Tania.
