Architects Vision

London architecture practice Rolfe Judd is responsible for some of the Capitals most recognised developments; their most recent project - Berkeley's Tabard Square in London Bridge has been awarded almost every housing quality award imaginable.

They have now turned their hand to Woodberry Park in North London, a development that's notable for a number of reasons.

Paul Wilson, the architect working on the Woodberry Park project comments on Rolfe Judd's vision on this major regeneration scheme:

"London is one of the world's great cities, but not somewhere you usually associate with great views. That's what makes Woodberry Park such a dream development. This is what we had to work with: greenery, water and views.

The great challenge was to create a masterplan that let all natural elements interact with the development, so every apartment has long distance, south facing views over the water on one side, and a more intimate one over private gardens and courtyards on the other. We achieved that by stepping the blocks back into the site and creating a series of terraces, while keeping the levels of privacy we wanted".
