Premium commercial space in historic waterside surroundings
Premium commercial property is available in two of the three distinct areas that make up The Waterside:
A Portland Walk area
B Severn Street area
Both locations offer superb, high specification flexible office accommodation and easy access to quality amenities with the obvious attractions of a waterside setting. Public squares and landscaped areas ensure the scheme becomes an integral part of the city.
Royal Worcester Porcelain has been made at the Severn Street site since 1840, although the company was founded almost a century earlier. Fastidious dedication to traditional craftsmanship throughout its 250-year history has ensured the name of Royal Worcester is synonymous with superb quality and artistry.
The company was a pioneer of decoration with transfer prints on large scale. The first royal service was made for the Duke of Gloucester in 1770; each piece of the sumptuous service was hand painted with different groups of fruit. The Royal Warrant was granted to George III in 1789, enabling the company to style itself 'Royal Worcester'.
With overall activity and employment now sadly declining on the Royal Worcester Porcelain sites, The Waterside has taken unused buildings and regenerated these redundant, historical gems through a sensitive renaissance.
The original factory site has now been given a new vision by Berkeley Homes.
