"Saffron Square is designed to mark the regeneration of Croydon. The centrepiece of the development, a tower that breaks with the existing cluster of tall buildings, will signify a new beginning for Croydon. A public square will be created at the base of the tower creating an active permeable space, integrating the development within the existing urban grain. With the implementation of Saffron Square, a new 'place' is being created, providing living space at the heart of an urban centre, as part of a future sustainable 'Compact City'."
