Streetcar Car Share Club
At Berkeley, one of our key priorities is to reduce the amount of carbon associated with our developments.
We already lead the industry in encouraging ecologically sustainable build techniques and bringing new technologies and approaches to our construction projects to minimise their impact on the surrounding areas, now and in the future.
We have found from experience that reducing car parking spaces and creating car free environments is not the only solution to this problem. We actively encourage residents at West 3 to lower their level of dependence on private cars, so a Streetcar car share club is situated within the development.
The cars can be reserved online or by phone, and can be collected and returned 24/7 using one of our high-tech smartcards. At West 3, 2 Volkswagen Golfs are currently available for use.
The cost of your usage is based on how long you have the car and how far you drive but unless you're a heavy car user, the annual cost of Streetcar will be dramatically less than owning a car and with lots of the hassle of car ownership removed.
