Canary Wharf

Canary Wharf is more than simply a centre for big business. Although some of the most powerful names in commerce have erected skyscrapers here, the area also hosts exclusive shops, fine restaurants and a busy programme of cultural events. Surrey Quays

The great ships may have moved on, but the area surrounding Marine Wharf maintains its maritime connections. At Surrey Quays, the Thames Clippers provide a refreshing way to travel through London by boat. Marine Wharf also neighbours the South Dock Marina, London's largest marina with 200 berths. It's a wonderful place for a waterside stroll - or for residents to park their own vessels.

Naval heritage at London's Docklands

The site of Marine Wharf has a long and proud naval history. One of the world's largest shipyards once stood nearby, which produced warships for the Royal Navy when the force was first established. For this reason, the area was selected for Henry VIII as the ideal place to observe his ships while in residence at Greenwich. As London evolved, so did the Dockside area, and today it forms a cornerstone of the city's wealth.

Central London

What is left to say about the city that has it all - besides the fact that its centre is just a few minutes from Marine Wharf? Cosmopolitan London is home to world class shopping, royal palaces, wonderful art and theatre, exciting night life and so much more. "When a man tires of London," said Samuel Johnson, "he is tired of life; for there is in London all that life can afford."
