Travelling from Canterbury towards the coast, you will uncover a number of picturesque coastal towns including Herne Bay and Whitstable.
Herne Bay is located on the northern coast of Kent and boasts spectacular stretches of beach decorated with brightly coloured beach huts and stunning seafront gardens. Venturing into town you will find antique shops full of hidden gems as well as Kent's largest general market on a Saturday.
Whitstable, which is located 7 miles north of Canterbury, is fast becoming the favourite coastal retreat for London's young and fashionable. With an abundance of art galleries, gift shops and designer label shops Whitstable has become almost as famous for its designer chic as it is for its world renowned oyster restaurants.
