Vision for a Sustainable Future
The new homes at Kingsbrook Park are located within the Kingsmead area, one of eight areas of regeneration in Canterbury and a significant element in unlocking the City's potential to become a city of European importance* The redevelopment of the Kingsmead area proposes a mix of housing, commercial and leisure improvements as well as a new hotel and offices, an investment that promises to benefit Kingsbrook Park immeasurably.
In support of Berkeley Homes' commitment to promoting sustainable environmental and social development, the scheme proposes a number of enhancements to the local infrastructure including:
Creating a thriving new community of attractive houses and apartments to appeal to a variety of purchasers.
New cycleways and pedestrian links with easier access to the public transport system.
Improvements will also be made to the site's natural habitat through the creation of ecological habitat zones.
Enhancements to the public riverside walk and the preservation of the stunning Cathedral views.
Creation of a 2.5 acre landscaped park on the southern tip of the site. Featuring a play area for children, the park will provide an important amenity to both residents and people living in the surrounding areas.
