When you're buying your new home at Edenbrook, we want it to be as enjoyable and easy as possible: and that includes the sale of your old home. Our Easy Move scheme lets you allow us to effectively take over the administration of the sale, and we will pay up to £5,000* towards your agent's fees.
The Easy Move process
Valuation
We will arrange up to three independent valuations from estate agents in your area and then agree with you a realistic selling price for your existing home. If your home is already on the market we will liaise with the agent(s) you have appointed.
Reservation deposit
Once you have decided to go ahead, a reservation deposit is payable on your chosen Berkeley home. For your complete peace of mind, we will then keep your new home off the market for four weeks while your existing home is marketed.
Feedback
During this period, we will be in constant contact with the appointed agent(s) to ascertain the level of interest in your existing home. Naturally, we will keep you informed about any developments and any offers made.
Offers
If you accept an offer, we will check on the status of the prospective buyer, who will need to be in a position to proceed immediately with the purchase.
Exchange
Once you have accepted an offer, you will also need to be in a position to proceed with the purchase of your new Berkeley home. We will want you to exchange contracts within 28 days of formally accepting the offer on your existing home
