If anyone can, the handyman can at Berkeley's All Saints development in Eastbourne
It's important to have someone on hand who is skilled in a range of maintenance tasks and able to help, and residents of All Saints are used to seeing a familiar face around the development in the shape of their new handyman Rob Wilkins.
Rob, 54, has only been working at All Saints since the beginning of September 2011, the handyman role is to manage the upkeep of the development, which includes overseeing a wide range of tasks throughout the week.
Rob comments: "As the handyman at All Saints, I'm involved quite a few projects in and around the development to ensure that the presentation is correct. There are many tasks that need to be undertaken and handled as the handyman each day, which includes making sure the lighting works, carrying out daily inspections and checking if there are any contractors on site.
"There are a vast number of roles to complete each day at All Saints. It's certainly a varied job, but I really enjoy working at such a striking development."
Despite the short amount of time that Rob has been at All Saints, he is now looking forward to introducing himself to all the residents at the unique development in Eastbourne.
Rob continues: "I've met a lot of the residents from All Saints and there's a wonderful community here. I work on-site at All Saints throughout the week and am always on hand to help the residents with any maintenance situations on the development itself as well as carrying out a light bulb changing service for the residents.
"It's a real pleasure to be working as the handyman at the development, especially in such a lovely area in Eastbourne. I've lived in Eastbourne for six years now; it's such a beautiful part of the country to be living in."
All Saints is a collection of stunning homes within a converted Victorian Gothic Revivalist style 19th century hospital and chapel, originally designed by the highly acclaimed architect Henry Woodyer. Skilfully restored by Berkeley (Southern) Ltd and a dedicated team of experts, considerable care was undertaken in converting the period buildings into modern homes that reflect today's lifestyle needs.
Kevin Redmond, Head of Sales at All Saints comments: "As the new handyman at All Saints, Rob is an essential part of the development and is a great personality to have around. Although he has only been working here for just over a month, the residents will soon get used to seeing him."
