The Training Scheme

The Berkeley Group is looking for the brightest graduates with degrees in disciplines related directly to the skills and knowledge required in our operational departments.

You will join the scheme with a view to taking a role within one of our technical, commercial, construction, land and planning, sales and marketing, customer services, or health and safety departments. To get an idea of what each of our departments do and how they fit into the development process, please refer to Our Departments.

On the Graduate Scheme your training can be flexible and you will have the chance to shape it to your individual requirements.  You will learn the intricacies of the business through being placed into the cut and thrust of one of Berkeley's divisions, where straight away you will get the chance to work on one or more of our projects. As time progresses and you start to prove yourself, you will be given increasing levels of responsibility.

Via a mentoring system that is supported at a high level by senior directors, you will also get guidance and feedback on your development and individual support when you need it.

What we are looking for

We are looking for people who can demonstrate talent, drive and enthusiasm whilst being able to quickly develop the practical skills and knowledge that will ultimately be invaluable to the business.

We want to recruit top class individuals to provide the Group with the entrepreneurial thinking and management talent necessary to take it forwards in years to come.

To be considered for entry on the Berkeley Graduate Scheme you will have a minimum of an upper second class undergraduate degree or postgraduate degree in planning, real estate, property development, quantity surveying, construction, architecture, marketing, customer services, health and safety, or related disciplines. However as well as having the right academic qualifications, we require that you show us that you are a confident, articulate, dynamic and commercially minded individual with a true passion for the industry.

The Benefits

As well as a job with real breadth and scope, you'll also enjoy a starting salary of £25,000 plus benefits such as paid holidays, pension scheme etc (subject to satisfactory probationary period).

Office locations

The Group currently has divisional offices which are located at Abingdon (Oxfordshire), Leatherhead (Surrey), Billingshurst (Sussex), Sevenoaks (Kent), Finchley (Barnet) and Battersea (Wandsworth).

In addition to our divisional offices, our Group Head Office is based in Cobham (Surrey) and we have around fifty operational sites in and around London and the South East.
